What is CBL lens?
CBL lens is a perfect calibration tool for the manual white balance of your digital camera. You are carrying it with you anytime, anywhere you go for photo shooting. Once you have used it, you will not think about the situation you take photo without it.
Why should I use manual white balance when there is Auto White Balance function in every digital camera?
A digital camera is only an electronic machine. It has no eyes like human who can see the light and judge himself. The automatic white balance function in a camera (AWB in short) actually cannot do anything special. There is no other way except you have to set manual white balance to obtain correct color even with all the modern digital cameras.
Why is CBL lens so special? There are many other different manual white balance tools.
CBL lens has been developed with many years of research and experiments. It is designed to replace non effective existing white balance tools like white board, grey card, frontal filters etc. Specially designed grooves and prisms and perfectly formulated reflection board collect all the surrounding lights including reflected side lights and guide them all to the image sensor of the digital camera without losing or changing any information.
The great advantages
» Full color balance in few seconds! » No need for post processing at computer! » The easiest handling than any other tools! » Only one CBL lens for all of your exchange lens! » Fits in your pocket! » 18% gray back for exposure metering, double function! » Weather and water proof for all hard shooting activities! » The performance will never change!

How do I use the CBL lens?
The usage of CBL lens is very simple. It is absolutely same as how you set manual white balance with grey card or white paper.
First, you need to set your digital camera to manual white balance mode. How you set your camera to manual white balance mode depends on the manufacturer and the model of your camera. Please invest some time to look into the user manual of your camera if you don't know how to.
Second, you need to find the good place to collect all surrounding light sources, for example sun light, artificial lights or reflected lights. It is normally just the front area of the object you wish to shoot.
Third, after holding the CBL lens on one hand and your camera on the other hand, take picture of the CBL lens. You need to tilt the CBL lens properly to collect surrounding lights and to prevent direct reflection of the strong light source.
Focusing is not so important but you need to fill the view finder with CBL lens about 70% to be sure that the camera reads the right information.

To do this, it is necessary to adjust zoom or the distance between the CBL lens and the camera.
Fourth, you need to save this picture as your new white balance reference for your camera. Some cameras require pressing some buttons for that and some cameras do not require any further action (for example Nikon shows "good" in the display after you take a picture of CBL and then it is already finished!)
Now you are ready to take picture with perfect full color balance!
When you move to another lighting environment, it is of course needed to do the same routine again as the lighting condition must not be the same.
